How to play Broadway Show Bingo

Broadway Shows Bingo is played like a classic bingo game—with a musical twist. Each card features different Broadway-related prompts, such as “Grease,” “Wicked,” “Sweeney Todd,” or “Cats.”

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Distribute cards – Each player gets a unique bingo card.
2. Call out prompts – A host randomly draws or announces Broadway shows.
3. Mark your squares – Players mark the matching square if they have it.
4. Get five in a row – The first player to mark five squares in a line (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) shouts “BINGO!” and wins!

You can also play with variations like full card, four corners, or blackout for a longer game.

Alternative ways to play Broadway Show Bingo

Looking to mix things up beyond the standard game? Try these creative Broadway-themed bingo twists:

• Cast party bingo: Play after a local production or drama club show using terms from your own performance.
• Tony awards watch party: Use a bingo card filled with predictions and likely moments—like a standing ovation, a heartfelt speech, or a costume change mid-show.
• Musical movie night: Mark off squares when characters break into song, or when famous show tunes play in a film adaptation (think Chicago or Les Misérables).
• Broadway lyrics edition: Instead of calling out show names, read lines from famous lyrics and have players guess the show to mark it off.
• Guess that show bingo: Describe the plot or a main character from a Broadway show, and players have to identify the correct square.

These variations keep the game fresh and entertaining, no matter how many times you play.
