NHL bingo

Hockey is already a high-energy sport, but what if you could make it even more thrilling? Enter NHL bingo, the perfect way to keep your eyes glued to the action while adding an extra layer of fun to game night. Whether you’re watching alone, with friends, or hosting a full-blown watch party, NHL bingo turns every slapshot, penalty, and announcer cliché into a reason to cheer.

How to play NHL bingo

Playing NHL bingo is as easy as lacing up your skates (or, you know, just sitting on the couch with a drink). Here’s how it works:

1. Get your bingo cards – Print them out or play online using our bingo card generator.
2. Mark off events as they happen – Things like “power play goal,” “missed empty net,” or “coach looking furious” can all be on your card.
3. Win by completing a pattern – A straight line, four corners, or even a full blackout for the ultimate challenge.
4. Celebrate like you just won the Stanley Cup – No, really. Victory laps around the coffee table are encouraged.

Top tip

Make sure to mix up your squares each game to keep things fresh. You never know when an announcer will drop a classic “he shoots, he scores!” or when a team will pull off a dramatic overtime winner.

Alternative ways to play NHL bingo

Want to mix things up? Try these variations:

• Drinking game version – Every time you mark off a square, take a sip. (Play responsibly!)
• Team-specific bingo – Customize your card with player names, team traditions, or frequent play calls.
• Fantasy-style bingo – Draft bingo squares with your friends before the game. If your drafted squares happen, you earn extra points!
• Announcer edition – Focus only on phrases from the broadcast, like “he’d like that one back” or “high-danger scoring chance.”
• Live game version – If you’re lucky enough to be in the arena, add squares like “fan waving giant foam finger” or “camera catches a kid dancing on the jumbotron.”
• Penalty box challenge – Create a bingo card filled only with penalties, like “too many men on the ice” or “goalie interference.”
