How are cards randomized?
Word and picture cards are shuffled across the whole grid. Number cards use classic column ranges, like B 1–15.
Updated
How a card is shuffled depends on the card type you choose in Setup.
Custom cards (words, pictures, emoji)
Items are shuffled across the whole grid, so any item can land in any square. If you add more items than the grid has squares, each card also gets a different selection of items. A free space takes the middle square.
| Grid | Squares to fill (no free space) | With a free space |
|---|---|---|
| 3 x 3 | 9 | 8 |
| 4 x 4 | 16 | 15 |
| 5 x 5 | 25 | 24 |
Add at least that many items. Add more for more variety between cards.
Traditional cards (numbers)
Number cards follow the classic rule that each column has its own range, so players can find called numbers quickly and every card plays fair.
| Game | Grid | Column ranges |
|---|---|---|
| 30-ball | 3 x 3 | 1–10, 11–20, 21–30 |
| 75-ball | 5 x 5 | B 1–15, I 16–30, N 31–45, G 46–60, O 61–75 |
| 80-ball | 4 x 4 | 1–20, 21–40, 41–60, 61–80 |
| 90-ball | 3 rows x 9 columns | 1–9, 10–19 … 80–90, five numbers per row |
No number appears twice on the same card.
Shuffling in the editor
Press shuffle in the preview to see another possible card. When you print, every card in the batch is shuffled independently, so the preview is just one example.
