Check a Bingo claim and declare a winner
How the claim review works, what the colors mean and how to handle a false bingo.
Updated
When a player presses Bingo!, the host sees a "Bingo claim!" window with that player's card, so you can check it without anyone reading squares aloud.
Steps
- Read the summary at the top. It tells you whether every marked number has actually been called.
- Check the card. Green squares were marked and called. Outlined squares were called but not marked. Red squares were marked but not called, so look closely.
- If it's a real bingo, press Declare winner. Everyone sees the celebration, and the WINNERS counter goes up.
- If not, press Not yet and keep calling. The player can claim again later.
House rules worth agreeing on first
- What counts as a win: a line, four corners, or a full card.
- Whether you play on for second and third place after the first winner.
- What happens with a false claim. A friendly rule: the player sits out the next call.
