Removing headers and footers from prints
Stop your browser printing the date, page title and web address around your bingo cards.
Updated
The text at the very top and bottom of a printed page (the date, the page title, the web address and page numbers) isn't part of your card. Your browser adds it, and you can switch it off in the print dialog.
Chrome and Edge
- Press Generate & Print in the editor's Print step, so the print dialog opens.
- Open More settings.
- Untick Headers and footers.
- While you're there, tick Background graphics so colors print.
Firefox
- Open the print dialog.
- Scroll down and open More settings.
- Untick Print headers and footers.
Safari (Mac)
- Open the print dialog.
- Press Show Details if you only see a small dialog.
- Untick Print headers and footers, and tick Print backgrounds.
Printing a saved PDF
PDF viewers such as Adobe Reader and Preview don't add browser headers. If you saved your cards as a PDF and they still show a web address, the headers were baked in when the PDF was saved: print again from the editor with headers turned off, and save a fresh PDF.
Browsers usually remember these settings, so you only need to do this once per browser.
