How do I add custom card backgrounds?
Change the card's background color, or upload your own background image in the Design step.
Updated
Every card has a background color, and Plus and Pro plans can upload a background image as well. The header strip has the same two options.
Before you start
- A card open in the editor.
- For an image background: a Plus or Pro plan and an image file up to 5 MB. A portrait image with calm areas behind the grid works best.
Steps
- Go to the Design step.
- Expand Card Background.
- Pick a Background color, or under Background image choose Upload Image and select your file.
- Adjust Border radius if you want rounder or squarer corners.
- To style the header too, expand Header Background and pick a color or upload an image.
- Check every square in the preview is still easy to read.
Uploading a background image replaces the card's layered design (canvas, separator and themed elements). Remove the image to bring the design back.
Troubleshooting
The words are hard to read
Choose a lighter or less busy image, or use a plain color behind the grid. Strong patterns and text in the image fight with the squares.
The background prints white
Turn on Background graphics in your browser's print dialog. See Printing tips.
The upload option is locked
Image backgrounds are part of Plus and Pro. Background colors work on every plan.
