How do I add emojis to my card?

Emojis work like any other word on a Custom card, so they're free on every plan. Use them on their own for picture-style bingo with young kids, or next to a word (🎃 Pumpkin) to add color.

Steps

1. Open a Custom card in the editor and go to Setup.
2. Click into the box where you type items.
3. Open your device's emoji picker: Windows key + . (period) on Windows, Control + Command + Space on a Mac, or the emoji key on a phone keyboard.
4. Pick an emoji, add any words you want beside it, and add the item to the list.
5. Check the preview, then print or play as usual.

Tips

• Emojis are drawn by your device's emoji font, so they can look slightly different on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android. Print from the device whose preview you checked.
• Turn on Background graphics in the print dialog so color emojis don't come out pale.
• For live games, players see emojis with their own phone's emoji style.

Troubleshooting

An emoji shows as an empty box

That device or browser doesn't have the emoji in its font. Update the browser or operating system, or pick a more common emoji.
