How do I add custom images to a card square?
Upload your own pictures into a Custom card's squares for picture bingo. JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP, up to 5 MB each.
Updated
Picture bingo is great for young children, language learners and anyone who'd rather spot a photo than read a word. You can mix pictures and words on the same card.
Before you start
- A Custom card open in the editor. Traditional (number) cards don't take images.
- A Plus or Pro plan for uploading your own images. Images already on a template stay editable on every plan.
Steps
- In Setup, make sure Custom is selected.
- Under the item list, choose the image upload and pick one or more files from your device.
- Each picture is added to the item list like a word and shows up in the preview straight away.
- Remove a picture from the list with its delete button if you change your mind.
- Press shuffle in the preview to see how pictures spread across different cards.
Pictures that print well
- Use square images where you can, so nothing important is cropped.
- Keep the subject in the middle and away from the edges.
- Pick clear, high-contrast pictures. Small text inside an image is unreadable at square size.
- Use pictures you have the right to use, such as your own photos or images licensed for reuse.
Troubleshooting
The upload button is locked
Uploading your own images is part of Plus and Pro. You can still use words, emoji and the images that come with templates.
My image won't upload
Check it's a JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP file and no larger than 5 MB. Photos from a phone camera are often bigger; save a smaller copy and try again.
